Lienert Tierra Del Puerco Malbec
Red • Full Bodied • Malbec
On the gently sloping block known as Tierra del Puerco grows a youthful, vibrant Malbec vineyard tended by the enigmatic Jack West (John Lienert), often dubbed the grape whisperer. Biodynamic sunshine and red earth coax the vines into exceptional expression, making this a standout site for Malbec in Shiraz territory.
Only eight barrels were produced in this second release, already recognised by The Real Review as Australia’s best Malbec.
Aromas sweep through allspice, rhubarb, pomegranate, milko bars, redskins, thyme, black tea, apple skin, clove, petrichor, sage, tar, lemongrass, strawberry, cherry, blackberry and Santa Rosa plum. The palate follows with fresh acidity, spice, plum, cherry, coffee, raspberry, rosemary, thyme, fine tannins and a savoury edge — a vivid, classic Malbec profile.
Crafted for immediate enjoyment rather than long-term cellaring.
